Training at home: what you actually need
A lot of women assume home training means clearing a room and spending a few hundred pounds on kit that ends up under the bed. It doesn't. I bring the equipment; you provide roughly the space of a yoga mat.
The space
A cleared corner of a lounge is plenty — enough room to lie down and stretch your arms out. A hallway, a conservatory, a patio or a garden all work just as well.
The equipment
I arrive with everything we need for the session, which usually means a mat, bands and adjustable weights. There is nothing to buy, store or maintain, and no membership behind any of it.
- Mat, bands and weights brought to you
- No gym fees and no joining fee
- Comfortable clothes and water — that's your side of it
- Bare feet or trainers, whichever you prefer indoors
The bit nobody mentions
Home training removes the travel, the changing room and the audience. For most women that is the difference between a plan that survives a busy month and one that quietly stops in week three.
Your living room, the garden, or the local park — whatever suits you that day.
