Training outdoors in Molesey, Esher and Claygate

There is a lot of usable green space across the four towns I cover, and a park session removes almost every barrier women mention about gyms: no mirrors, no queues, no membership and nobody watching.

Why outdoors works so well

Daylight and fresh air do real work on mood and sleep, and a park gives you space, benches, slopes and uneven ground — all of it useful for strength and balance training.

It also removes the walk of shame past the weights section, which for a lot of women is the thing that stopped them exercising for years.

Dressing for actual British weather

Layers beat a single warm coat, because you will want to shed one within ten minutes. Trainers with grip matter more than anything branded.

  • Two thin layers rather than one thick one
  • A light waterproof for the colder seasons
  • Trainers with real tread for damp grass
  • A bottle of water, even in winter

When the weather really turns

Sessions run in most conditions. On genuinely grim days we move into your living room or reschedule — you will never be left standing in a downpour waiting for me.

Sessions run across East Molesey, West Molesey, Esher and Claygate, at home or outdoors.
